This week has been a bit of a tough one. Dealing with an eczema flare up is never fun. Having to look at a spotty boy, temper the number of ‘please don’t scratch’ in an hour and applying endless layers of cream take it out on all of us. My chuckle this week came from […]

Relentless
MIB’s skin is still scratched all over his back, but no sign of actual eczema. His legs are super dry, so he’s itchy, but no eczema there either. This is sort of good news, although his back does still look like he has a horrible rash all over. He has a terrible cough, was sick […]
Not a great day
Poor MIB must have spent most of last night scratching as his back looks like he has a rash as there are so many tiny scratches all over it 🙁 Have cut his nails, applied a lot of cream throughout the day and have my fingers crossed for tonight. After a few weeks of really […]
Why why why why why?
Why, Mummy? But, why? Mummy, why does it? Why? Why though? But, why? Why, Mummy, why? Why, Mummy? But, why? Mummy, why does it? Why? Why though? But, why? Why, Mummy, why? Why, Mummy? But, why? Mummy, why does it? Why? Why though? But, why? Why, Mummy, why? *Mummy eats chocolate* Why, Mummy? But, why? […]
Ouch
MIB woke up today with scratches all over his lower back. They were not bleeding particularly, but the top layer of skin was scratched away so that there was plenty of fluff from his pyjamas stuck in the largest scratch. He gripped my hand as I tried to clean it with wet cotton wool. Poor […]
Milkshake Monkey-ness
I have been having trouble cleaning MIB’s milkshake beaker. It’s one of those tall ones with the curly straw around the outside. Eventually I bought some pipe cleaners and tried one of those. We managed to clean the top half quite easily by poking it down the straw. Unfortunately the ‘long’ pipe cleaners I bought […]
Sticker fun
As recommended by MotherWifeMe, we decided on a wee adventure up to London today to the Obliteration Room at Tate Modern. It was good to see that the adults, teens and toddlers in the room were all enjoying it as much as each other. So simple, but such fun.
Slimy books
We scored well at the library yesterday afternoon with some excellent books being available (sometimes it is rather hit and miss!). Out of the 8 books we came away with, we only managed to read 3 before bath time. MIB was desperate to take one up to bed to have as his bedtime story. It […]
Rosy cheeks
Have packed MIB off to nursery this morning with a good slathering of thick cream on his cheeks. Each time I pick him up, he has rosy cheeks where he has been scratching. We have no ideas why or how come it is only his cheeks, but fingers crossed, it will be better today.
Joys of Spring
It was lovely today to see the daffodils out, new buds growing on branches and even berries starting on the hedgerows. I was not, however, so pleased to see the blossom. It looks like hayfever will be earlier this year than last. Ho-hum….
