1. Cloths to wipe our hands on
We are still using the packs of muslin cloths that we bought before he was even born. Thankfully they are still in one piece, despite endless laundering, after 4.5 years. Every time we put cream on MyItchyBoy, we wipe our hands on one of the cloths. We also use them to wipe it off the carpet and anywhere else it ends up.
2. Handheld technology device
When MyItchyBoy’s resisting cream being put on (either scheduled getting dressed time or in the day when he’s itchy) there’s one way that we can persuade him. It’s not great, am not proud, but sometimes the cream is more important than a few minutes of free kids apps.
3. Night lights
The inevitable night time interruptions mean that we have three night lights. One for gentle bedside lighting, one for lighting the room up enough to put cream on in the night without blinding anyone and an automatic one for the bathroom for hand-washing, piriton-giving and all that.
